Hooray! House nixes $700B bailout bill in stunning defeat.

by Steve Slaton, copyright.

Hooray! You can count on the fact that these "representatives" were
doing their polls at home… This says that (At least for the moment!)
people are awake and hostile to Washington.
So far, so good. It is too bad for people who are panicking and selling
low, but there’s the old saying: A fool is soon separated from his
money…

As I blog at: http://steve-slaton.space.live.com/

"A USA movement needs to form and initiate a Grassroots Constitutional Convention
with the intention of ending the abuses of power by our two party
system through multiple amendments each of which can be ratified by the
States at their own pace."

As Winston Churchill
said: The victors write the history. Okay… For you too young to
remember, and for you old enough but forgot, here’s a little history
lesson.

In President Carter’s day we had run away inflation,
crisis in Iran
complete with hostages, and long gas lines the last time the Oil Cartel
had put us in a vice. Carter and Congress had created energy
alternative credits and I worked for Horizon Solar, a sun panel
company. We were on the verge of being able to competitively generate sustainable energy. As Carter ended his term, we were around $2 trillion in debt.

Reagan
won… He canceled alternative energy credits. (If Carter had been
re-elected, I doubt that we would be in this mess today.) Directly
related to this financial crisis, Reagan started killing regulation and
oversight. Also, while claiming to be a fiscal conservative (and McCain
is a self-proclaimed Reagan Republican), Reagan masterminded the
largest non-war military build up in history. When he left office we
were over $6 trillion debt. Daddy Bush continued Reagan spending and
policy.

While Clinton stopped deficit spending, he also
facilitated greed. In his second term Congress approved his plan to
allow the crossing over of funds and "services" of the big three
concentrations of wealth: Securities, Banks, and Insurance. (Some of us
noticed…) Also, there are lots of complaints about skyrocketing
health costs. Clinton signed into law a hug gift to the Big
Pharmaceuticals, the big patent law revision. Patent drugs used to have
a 7-year term, now they have 17-years.

Then
Sonny Bush accelerated the Reagan craziness. It seems that we are
pushing $10 trillion debt. We’ll pass $10 fast if they do bail out Wall Street.

I hope we can soon end The Age of Reagan. As you see, our two party system IS bought and paid for! President George Washington
warned of this, in discouragement, in his Farewell address. It is not
too late to learn from George (and I paraphrase:) People! If you value
your freedom, do NOT trust a 2-party-system. It is susceptible to
corruption, domestically and internationally, by clever minds where
your freedoms will be destroyed or at least compromised.

We
are less free under this crushing debt. With biological, chemical, and
nuclear weapons these fools obsessed with greed are endangering life
itself on Earth. Join me in calling for a Grassroots Constitutional
Convention. "Live long and prosper." (A Star Trek Vulcan greeting.)

Lactose Intolerant Advise.

by Steve Slaton, copyright.

At myLot, a social board, a post said,

"I’ve been missing cheese like crazy for over two years.
I had to cut it out because I became lactose intolerant…"

Here’s the link:

http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1722835.aspx#1_9618170

My reply (Number 13) was:

By college training I’ve worked as a toxicologist and immunologist.
Have you tried to take a lactase enzyme when you eat dairy of any
kind?

You can buy a package for just a few dollars.

I assume that you get gassy or have the runs or both.

It you get wheezy or have an accompanying rash it is likely that you
actually have a severe allergy. If so, do not take eat dairy, period.
It is also possible that your doctor diagnosed you with intolerance
when you are actually allergic… Our doctors are not the brightest
immunologists and
they just go with the flow. It is illegal to test
for a class of allergy called delayed type hypersensitivity. The excuse
is that severe DTH results in anaphylactic shock and death. The reality
is that by not allowing testing for DTH results in huge profits for
the pharmaceutical industry… If you feel achy and tired for days after
dairy, it is probably due to DTH.

Anyway, back to late onset lactose intolerance. It is common. As
we age we lose genetic material and I think this mostly occurs at the
telomere region as cells divide. Intestine cells are the fastest dividers
of our skin cells.

To test the lactase enzyme, I would try an ounce of the cheese you know has
bothered you, or say, 4 ounces of milk if milk is trouble for you, too. If
you have no effects by the next day, then do 2 doses a day for a few days. If
no symptoms after 5 days, lay off for 2 weeks and try it again.

This last step is a
precaution for your developing an allergy to the lactase
enzyme
. First time around you could end up sensitizing your immune system
that results in eventual allergy. So be cautious the second round.

Good luck.

“How Long Do We Have?” interpretation.

by Steve Slaton, copyright.

I DO NOT agree with the below words being e-mailed about. The author implies that everything would
be great if more people were Republicans. What crap! What IS scary is that this is being floated, in my
opinion, to get people to accept Marshall Law? or worse… Most have given up their Republican stripped
freedoms through the Patriot Act without a whimper!

Steve Slaton

Anyway. Here’s a copy & paste:

HOW LONG DO WE HAVE?

About the time our original thirteen states adopted their new constitution in 1787, Alexander Tyler, a Scottish
history professor at the  University  of  Edinburgh  , had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic
some 2,000 years earlier:

"A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government."

"A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous
gifts from the public treasury."

">From that moment on, the majority always vote for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the
public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is
always followed by a dictatorship."

"The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years"

"During those 200 years, those nations always progressed through the following sequence:

1. from bondage to spiritual faith;
2. from spiritual faith to great courage;
3. from courage to liberty;
4. from liberty to abundance;
5. from abundance to complacency;
6. from complacency to apathy;
7. from apathy to dependence;
8. from dependence back into bondage"

Professor Joseph Olson of Hemline University School of Law,  St. Paul ,   Minnesota , points out some
interesting facts concerning the 2000  Presidential election:

Number of States won by: Democrats: 19 Republicans: 29
Square miles of land won by: Democrats: 580,000 Republicans: 2,427,000
Population of counties won by: Democrats: 127 million Republicans: 143 million
Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Democrats: 13.2 Republicans: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory Republican won was mostly the land owned by
the taxpaying citizens of this great country. Democrat territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in
government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government welfare…" Olson believes the  United
States  is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler’s definition of
democracy, with some forty percent of the nation’s population already having reached the "governmental
dependency" phase.

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal’s and they vote, then
we can say goodbye to the   USA  in fewer than five years.

If you are in favor of this, then by all means, delete this message. If you are not, then pass this along to help
everyone realize just how much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom.

WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE,
ONLY BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE

A test for freedom.

by Steve Slaton, copyright.

The test of freedom is not a democracy where the majority of the voters rule. The test is how majorities treat minorities as they try to pursue their happiness…

Anarchists unite!
